This course is designed for people wishing to renew an existing First Aid at Work certificate.  If your certificate has expired you are still able to attend this course, but the HSE recommends you attend the First Aid at Work (3 day course) if more than a month has elapsed since expiry. Please note that the requalification course is an intensive course with very little practice time and designed for people whose certificate is still in date. If you do decide to attend the requalification course you will need to work at the pace of the course.

Assessment and Certification

You will be continually assessed throughout the duration of the course by one of our qualified trainers. Upon successful completion you will receive a two day First Aid at Work  Requalification certificate valid for three years.

The HSE recommends that all qualified first aiders should refresh their knowledge and first aid skills every year. We offer an on-site Annual Skills Update course which can be delivered at your premises for up to 12 first aiders.

Pre-requisites

When booking this course you must provide evidence that you currently hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate. This will also need to be shown to the trainer

on the first day of the course.

The practical elements of this course are essential as they provide you with vital hands-on experience. It is important that you are physically able to take part in the

practical parts of the course.

The HSE requires you to attend the full duration of the course and candidates need a basic command of English ( defined as Level 2 ) to be eligible for evaluation and qualify for a First Aid at Work Requalification certificate.

On-site training room requirement

It is recommended that the room size should be approximately 20 x 30 feet for a full 12 person course. The room should be large enough to seat all candidates comfortably in a semicircle formation. The floor space in the centre should be clean and uncluttered as this will be used for the practical parts of the course. The trainer will also require a flip chart if one is available
